Scrapbook I

The Cleveland Balloon Club of 1932 through 1939 had regular meetings of which minutes were kept to document the activities of the club.  Fortunately for the family of Tony Fairbanks and the growing interest of hot air and gas balloonists today, Tony was voted the club historian. He took the responsibility seriously and as a result two fact filled scrapbooks are available for viewing on this web site.  A slice of aviation history that would have been forever lost. The third scrapbook was compiled by Tony’s younger sister,  Antonica Fairbanks Canova. Antonica or as the family called her, Aunt Dolly, had an early interest in keeping a record of her brother’s aviation adventures.  On the cover of her scrapbook is the title,  “Blown with the Wind.”
