Fred Dolder was dedicated to the cause of youth welfare. He founded Pro Jeventute holiday villages in Austria and Switzerland. Also, Bosco Della Bella, a Swiss holiday village for large families. He carried commemorative envelopes in his balloon when flying over the Alps. He raised more than $2 million for child welfare charities from the sale of these envelopes mailed with special stamps.. Note – not all of these envelopes are from his Alpine flights.
