Alps – Second Flight – 1969

Take off from Stechelberg, Switzerland and landed in Salussola, Italy

Pilot – Tony Fairbanks, Passenger – Leo ‘Buddy’ Bombard.

Flew the   “Murren” HB-BOK  35,000 cu. ft. balloon and landed in Italy after a five hour flight.

The BCA sent an envelope to Fred Dolder to be repaired and used to fly over the Alps.
Fred repaired the envelope and supplied all equipment needed to be used
with the envelope. The letter below gives an explanation .
The balloon Tony flew on this flight used that envelope.
