Tony's logbook shows he flew solo on September 5th. Mr. Albert Vandenbemden loaned him a 900 m. balloon for the flight. The photos below show the inflation of this flight.
Note: There was also to be a flight on September 6th, which was cancelled. At noon on the 6th, all balloons were inflated and ready to go.
Intermittent rain all day and high winds caused the flights to be cancelled. The balloons were then deflated and packed up.
Note - the photos below depict two flights. The first flight was May, 7th - Pilot Tony Fairbanks, Passenger William Lewis. Take off in Vlissingen, Holland in La Coquette - N9074H. They flew 15 minutes and landed in Vlssingen.
Second Flight - May 9th - Pilot Tony Fairbanks, Passenger Shunjiro Matsushima - take off in Delft, Holland in La Coquette N9074H. They flew one hour and landed in nearby Maasdijk, Holland.

Sept. 4, 1971 - Pilot - Tony, Passenger - Dr. William C. Grabb - flew 30 minutes and landed near by.
Mr. Fred Dolder loaned one of his balloons to Tony. Mr. Dolder brought the 520 M. "ALBIS" to St. Nickolaas for Tony to use for this flight.
